I'm the same like the lyrical content isn't going to stop me from listening to music. I liked those songs that you posted, the antestor one was amazing. It's just......disappointing in a way I guess.

I like good lyrics and the way they are sung!
I've started to love several songs cause of their lyrics and have dropped quite a few songs cause I didn't like the lyrics...

I think this thread should be necroed

I hate the rolling stones and Led Zepplin which some people seem to find bizarre :goggly:
The majority of folk metal is lame.
Melodic Death Metal is the best genre of music ever.
Kreator>Slayer>Megadeth>Metallica
Most rap sucks and all country does except Johnny Cash.
St. Anger is not only the worst Metallica album it is one of the worst albums I have heard period.
Blooddrunk is Children of Bodom's best album.
Opeth is overrated garbage (looks around for Bryant :shifty: )
I actually like metalcore a lot and a few nu-metal bands there goes my kvltness :/
I refuse to listen to the radio as all they play is garbage.

Slayer>Kreator, but otherwise I agree with that statement.

Melodic death metal is good but not the best, imo. I prefer thrash and "classic" (Morbid Angel, Death, etc.) death metal.

In the last month, I've heard exactly two good songs on the radio: Would and Number of the Beast. So yeah, I agree that the radio sucks.

I prefer raw lo-fi black metal to the melodic/symphonic stuff, tbh. Like Darkthrone, Ildjarn, Absu, etc.

Another controversial opinion of mine.

While I enjoy SOME black metal the only part of it I don't like is when they purposely tone down on the studio production to appear to be more grim and kvlt
