This seems suitable for discussion.

Super Mario RPG and Dark Cloud come to mind. Anything to add?

Joust, Metal Arms (I liked Glitch, lol), and Sonic Adventure (the Sonic games since Adventure 2 are just awful.) Some of my personal favs and none of them going anywhere.

This. That is possibly one of the most underrated games ever, and it kicked so much as... the PS1 didn't have much to compete (FFVII) with it.

I can agree with Metal Arms and somewhat Dragoon. It was okay, but I still liked FF7 and Tactics better, so it wasn't unmatched.

I would say Banjo Kazooie, but they're making another one of those. And I'd be interested what they could do with old adventure games like Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle.

Never tried this one, but with the exception of the Smash Bros. franchise, Earthbound should be revived on the Virtual Console. People are begging for it.

Well I got some good news: Wii Virtual Console just re-released it for 800 points. Enjoy. ;)

Both of these, many times over.

Vagrant Story (why the hell didn't Square follow this up?)

There's many SNES ones that should've been followed up, like Soul Blazer & Illusion of Gaea/Terranigma

Ogre Battle (though more want for Tactics Ogre)

A non-portable Final Fantasy Tactics (Advance & A2 are too far different for me to even put them in with the awesome that was the original; yes, I know it was rereleased for the PSP, but too bad)

Also, while Super Mario RPG should've simply been followed up with another SMRPG, they kind of followed it up with the Paper Mario series, though the recent one goes far away from the original idea.

I can agree about Super Mario RPG. I liked Paper Mario, but it's not along th same lines.

And Vagrant Story? Yes. Very yes.

But I do disagree about Tactics. I liked and played Tactics way back int he PS1 days, but I just honestly like the job and weapon-based systems of the portable ones more. The jobs seemed better well rounded, especially the dragoon and ninja, and instant casting made mages better and the races gave variety and good limitations. Given, I liked the story from the first one better. Political intrigue is better than someone reading a book.
